War Eagle !!! Maggie may not understand why there is toilet paper in the trees, who Cam is or what exactly War Eagle means, but she had a great time walking around downtown Auburn today in her new pink coat ( holding a random spoon in her hand that she wouln't leave in the car).

I have three reasons to be so thankful: Walker, Will and our sweet Maggie ! Happy Thanksgiving

The Basket Girl.

Image
Maggie is so funny some times.  Really. You just had to be there. She walked around all night with a laundry basket on her head. And then played like usual, except she had a huge blue basket on her head. Cracks me up !!  Excuse the messy living room. It looks like this most of the time though - sippy cup on floor, turned over grocery cart and random toys under the chair. Love it !

Christmas Cards.

Image
I am not sure where you are from, but in the South, we send Christmas cards.  Not just any cards mind you.  We send Christmas Cards with pictures of our children ( usually dressed in their Christmas best, beach family photos, or even cute poses with funny Christmas hats).  The cards are wonderful gifts that we love to get in the mail.  It is so fun to walk to the mailbox during the month of December.  Will I get a card from my college roommate and see how big her children are now ?  Or will it be my sweet nieces from Birmingham all dressed in their matching outfits ?  W e display our cards in a card tree during December, then they go in THE BASKET after Christmas.  The Basket holds all the past and present Christmas cards for us to go through all year long and look at.  The boys love to sit by the fire and rummage through it, looking for pictures of their friends and family and seeing  how they have changed over the years. O ur favorite cards to send are simple photo cards like this

Orphan Sunday.

Image
Last Sunday was Orphan Sunday, and I meant to write a long post about it. But, instead, here is a quick one: This beautiful little girl of ours was an orphan, abandoned at birth. Unthinkable. But true. My heart is so burdened by the millions of orphans in our world and we should be doing more. I know Chuck and I have a heart that aches for more children. Specifically children that no one wants. Please join us in prayer today for serious revival of hearts toward orphans. For families that will say yes to the fatherless. That orphans will know mercy and love. The LOVE of a forever family.

Catching up.

Well, we have just been busy. We home school now from 8:30 - 2:30.  We have two trips a week to speech therapy, Maggie goes to a special needs play group once a week that is incredible, I cook dinner when I get a break in the day ( ha), Thanksgiving is coming and then Christmas ??  Maggie lovesssss her kitchen and will cook you up something delicious ! She also loves jewelry and wants a necklace on all the time. The boys are doing great in school - with a little help from the principle.  I made an appointment with the orthodontist for Will's braces, sewed a little dress for Maggie last week and we are getting ready to spend some time with family and friends during the holidays over food, of course. Maggie drank out of a straw cup yesterday - for the first time, yeah !!                                                Do you see Maggie's adorable, little pony tail ?             Football season is over and Will had so muc
