Going on A Bear Hunt.

W ho would have ever thought that Maggie's all time favorite thing to do would be to sit on my lap and read..  Books are magical to our little girl. She begs for them "Read book, read book momma !!" The other day I read so many books to her my throat was hurting and so I suggested we go watch Doc McStuffins or Minnie Mouse ( her favorite shows) and she just cried to " Read more books".  Oh, how can a mom say no to that ?    I have organized most of her books in a little book shelf in her room.  She happily hand selects each book and runs back to my lap.  We put up the old rocker and replaced it with a comfy white slip-covered IKEA chair that looks so cute in her room.  Now we both can sit side by side or Maggie will snuggle on my lap.  I always make sure I am talking close to her BAHA hearing aid so she can get the best auditory response. We're Going on A Bear Hunt   has become one of her cherished books. I love this edition too.  The pictures are so pret

E very now and then Life slows down and we all go outside and just play.  That's when I grab my camera and try to get that all elusive group picture. I think I snapped a pretty good one this time -  everyone looking at the camera with decent fake smiles.    W e were so blessed to have Walker serenade us with his tuba while we played.   O ur sweet Maggie looks so grown up here. She LOVES being outside playing with her brothers. I look at her with wonder most of the time. She is an amazing girl and I feel so blessed to be her mom.  She makes people smile the biggest smile and is a living, breathing testimony of Redemption.   W hen Walker was just a little baby crawling around I knew that he needed a brother close in age to him. Will was born when Walker was just 22 months old. What a blessing these two brothers are to each other. I remember how hard it was when they were little and I had two in diapers and two little energetic boys running around making messes. Now, they just go ou

Quick Summer Recap

Image
This summer Maggie learned to ride a bike and to swim- as in diving underwater and  everything ! Again, we were blown away by her ability to peddle and hold her breath and swim under water  ( not at the same time). She had an amazing babysitter this summer that took her swimming everyday - yes everyday !  She also fell in love with her pink goggles. We call her goggle girl ! We added a nice yard decoration this year - A huge soccer goal for the kids.   Everyone got a new soccer ball and we all enjoyed it !
